Installation

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. Unpack archive from Codecanyon.net
  2. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  3. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
  4. Select ‘recipe-contest.zip‘ from your computer
  5. Click ‘Install Now’
  6. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Unpack archive from Codecanyon.net
  2. Open ‘recipe-contest.zip‘
  3. Extract the ‘recipe-contest‘ directory to your computer
  4. Upload the ‘recipe-contest‘ directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

After Plugin Activation

  1. Go to “Recipe Contest” section in admin area
  2. Set all options and save changes
  3. Now you can create a new contest

Create a new contest

Actually there are two ways how to create a contest.

The first way

  1. Create a new page for the contest.
  2. Hit button “Add Recipe Contest” or add these two shortcodes to the text area
    [recipe-contest-menu][recipe-contest-page].
  3. Save the page and visit the page.
  4. On the page you will find a form for creating a new contest, so fill the form.
  5. Done!

The second way

  1. Go to admin area Recipe Contest -> Contests section.
  2. Set contest name in the “Create a new contest” form and fill the rest of the form.
  3. Hit “Create a contest” buton.
  4. Done!
